The House on the Valley

On the edge of a rural valley with the city of Sassari on the horizon, this villa blends in with the local stone and frames the marvellous panorama with an almost entirely glazed wall. Respectful of the terrain, The House on the Valley rests on pillars on the side facing the entrance to the plot, giving the impression that the building is floating; on the other side it rests on a cube clad in stone like the walls. Inside, the villa opens outwards via a cantilevered terrace, visually extending the large central living area and the two bedrooms on either side.
